Special thanks to the University of Alabama for hosting a counselors' luncheon on Monday, August 30, 2010. We enjoyed meeting and discussing UA statistics and future plans of undergraduate admissions, while sampling some fine food at the Montgomery Country Club. A few students attended the UA Honors Reception Monday night. We hope they are excited about the possibilities that UA can offer.
There are several upcoming events that are important to seniors! Our local College and Career Fair will be held at the FUMC Activity Center on September 15th. If you're interested in attending a National College Fair, the Bham Jefferson Civic Complex will hold an event on Sunday, September 19th from 1-4 pm. This is an important resource for students looking for educational options beyond high school. Free and open to the public, the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) invites sophomores, juniors, and seniors to the National College Fair.
